Waffle Mix Hacks

We will continue to add hacks as we go
  • In a bowl, mix up waffle mix to ensure even distribution of ingredients

In a separate bowl whisk

  • 3 large eggs 

  • 1 1/4 cup of milk (or non-dairy milk) 

  • 2 Tbsp oil or melted butter

  • once wet ingredients are combined add in 1 cup waffle mix whisk until lumps are gone and batter is thin.

If batter is too thick add more milk. Add your toppings and enjoy!  

Fish/Crab Cakes

Thanks to our good friend Paula for this one! 

What you need

  • 2 eggs, 1 cup waffle mix

  • 1-2 cans of your favorite seafood (or fresh if your are fancy)

  • diced tomatoes, green onions, bell peppers, Himalayan salt or sea salt and your favorite spices to taste.

  • Mix together, refrigerate for 1 hr. The mixture should roll together like a meat ball. If too wet add a bit more waffle mix. If too dry add more wet ingredients.

  • Use you preferred oil (I use coconut) to cook in to keep fats down.

  • Roll our your seafood cake like a meatball and fry, I like to flatten so it looks like a crab cake, cook until golden brown on both sides. More if you like really crispy.
